Ticket Tailor said on 27 October 2026 that it has redesigned the form organisers use to create and edit events. Nothing has been removed, according to the company, but the settings have been regrouped into clearer sections and the old Advanced settings toggle has gone. Ticket Tailor says organisers using the new form publish events twice as fast. This report is based on Ticket Tailor’s own announcement; we have not used the new form.

What has changed

The form now has five collapsible sections: Event info, Tickets, Add-ons and extras, Event page and Event settings. Each one shows a status badge (Completed, Incomplete, Optional or Errors), so an organiser can see what still needs doing before an event goes live, and the event summary adds a publishing checklist.

  • Event info puts dates and location side by side at the top, with the description and images moved up into the same section.
  • Tickets (previously Tickets and items) holds capacity, low availability and ticket group visibility, and the donations setting now sits directly under the ticket list. For seated events, the ticket pop-up has a Standard and Seated switch.
  • Add-ons and extras is new and groups products, text message reminders and refund protection in one place.
  • Event page takes over from Design your event page and now holds the event page link and custom domain setting, which used to live in Event settings.
  • Event settings replaces the Advanced settings toggle with named sections for ticket availability, access and visibility, waitlist, order confirmation and voucher codes. Custom transaction fees and custom sales tax now sit next to currency and payment methods.

The event side menu also gains a direct link to Ticket Tailor’s check-in app, and organisers can still duplicate an existing event as before.

What it means for event teams

This is a layout change rather than new functionality, so existing events and ticketing rules should carry on as they are. The practical impact is on anyone with written procedures or training notes that point to the old screen names. If your team’s set-up checklist says “open Advanced settings” or “Tickets and items”, it will need updating, and it is worth walking through one test event in the new form before a busy on-sale.

The move of transaction fees and sales tax next to the payment settings is the change most likely to matter for finance checks, because those settings affect what buyers are charged. The new status badges and publishing checklist may help catch missing details, but they only check that fields are filled in, not that prices, tax and capacity are right, so keep your own sign-off before publishing.
