Live video production and streaming software made by Telestream, running on Mac and Windows. It combines camera switching, graphics, remote guests, recording and streaming in one application.
What it is for
Producing a streamed or recorded event programme in-house, from a single-camera webcast to a multi-camera conference stream with remote speakers.
Documented capabilities
- Camera, screen-capture, IP camera and web stream inputs, with chroma key and a stock media library.
- Rendezvous remote guests; Telestream says up to seven remote guests can be brought in, with two included in the Studio edition when checked.
- ISO recording, multi-track audio, NDI integration and PTZ camera control.
- Multistreaming to several destinations at once, including cloud multistreaming.
- Multi-viewer output for monitoring sources.
Integrations and API
Wirecast supports NDI for networked video sources and PTZ camera control. Check Telestream’s specifications and supported devices list for the capture cards, cameras and control surfaces your crew uses.
Pricing model and availability
Wirecast is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, in more than one edition; features differ by edition. A fully functional free trial is offered with no time limit and no credit card. Prices are not recorded here.
What to check before buying
Match the edition to the number of remote guests, NDI outputs and recordings you need, and test the exact computer, GPU and capture hardware you will use on the day. A streaming destination, registration and audience access are separate parts of an event setup.
