A remote-controlled countdown timer for live events. An operator runs timers and sends messages from one device while presenters see a fullscreen timer on a confidence monitor, tablet or phone. It is made by Stagetimer GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany.
What it is for
Keeping conference sessions, livestreams, panels and other running orders to time, by giving speakers a clear countdown and letting the production team or stage manager signal them without walking on stage.
Documented capabilities
- Countdown, count-up and time-of-day timers, wrap-up colours and chimes, with timers scheduled for a set time or linked so one starts when another ends.
- Messages to the presenter that resize to fill the screen and can be coloured or flashed.
- Shareable links for a viewer output, an agenda page showing the rundown and a moderator page, with CSV import and export of the rundown.
- Audience questions submitted by link or QR code, which arrive as messages the operator can edit and reorder.
- Custom outputs from a drag-and-drop builder, with logo, colours, fonts and password protection on paid plans.
- Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Ubuntu/Debian that run on a local network without internet access, with NDI output for production software such as vMix and OBS Studio.
Integrations and API
An HTTP and socket.io API controls timers and messages, authenticated with a room or team API key, and is available with any paid licence and in the desktop app. A Bitfocus Companion module lets operators run timers from a Stream Deck, and Stagetimer publishes guides for OBS Studio, vMix, ATEM switchers and Zoom.
Pricing model and availability
A free tier allows up to three timers and three live connections per room. When checked, Pro cost $210 a year and Premium $420 a year for one member, billed annually; single-event licences last 30 days, Enterprise plans started from $630 and a desktop-app-only lifetime licence cost $980. Prices are in US dollars, and non-profit organisations can ask for a 20% discount.
What to check before buying
Count the screens and devices that will be connected at once, because live connections are capped by plan. If the venue internet is unreliable, test the desktop app on the local network you will use on the day.
