Bizzabo has made Sponsor ROI generally available, a set of sponsor and exhibitor tools inside its event platform that covers the sponsor portal, AI matchmaking against each sponsor’s ideal customer profile, meeting booking, lead retrieval, CRM sync and sponsor reporting. Bizzabo announced it from New York on 3 November 2026 and says it is available now to new and existing customers. It is aimed at events with large sponsor programmes, which Bizzabo puts at typically 15 or more sponsors and 300 or more attendees. This report is based on Bizzabo’s announcement and its Sponsor ROI product page; we have not used the product.

What Sponsor ROI includes

Sponsor ROI is six features that run on the same platform as Bizzabo’s registration, event app and onsite tools, so sponsor data comes from the same attendee records. According to the announcement, they are:

  • Sponsor Portal. One hub where sponsors complete their tasks, register their team, upload logos and one-pagers and manage their lead retrieval licences. The event team can see what is done and what is still outstanding.
  • ICP Matchmaking. Sponsors fill in a customisable form describing who they want to meet, and an AI matching engine shows them the attendees who fit that profile.
  • Meeting Scheduling. Sponsors find attendees in the directory, chat with them and book one-to-one meetings in the Bizzabo event app.
  • Lead Retrieval. Sponsors capture leads by scanning QR codes or tapping Klik SmartBadges in the event app, and answer custom qualification questions so each lead has context.
  • CRM Sync. Leads sync from the sponsor portal to each sponsor’s own CRM in real time.
  • Sponsor Reporting. Reports on meeting outcomes, sponsored session engagement and mobile app analytics, available during and after the event.

Why it matters for organisers selling sponsorship

The point of the release is renewals: sponsors who can see what an event delivered are more likely to come back. Bizzabo’s argument is that sponsor work is usually split across email, spreadsheets and separate apps, meetings between sponsors and buyers are left to chance, and lead lists arrive days after the event. Its release cites the Freeman 2024 Event Organizer Trends Report, saying 92% of organisers rate helping exhibitors meet customers and prospects as extremely or very important while only 68% feel effective at doing it.

For an organiser, the practical difference is where the sponsor deliverables, matchmaking and lead data live. If you already run registration and the event app on Bizzabo, this puts the sponsor programme in the same system rather than in a separate exhibitor portal and a third-party lead scanning app. If you run on another platform, it is one more example of event platforms bundling lead capture and sponsor reporting with matchmaking, which is worth comparing against what your current tools and lead retrieval provider already do. Our guide to lead retrieval and badge scanning covers the main ways leads are captured on the show floor.

Early results Bizzabo reports from beta customers

Bizzabo gives two beta examples, both its own figures. Customer Management Practice (CMP) ran its largest sponsor programme on Sponsor ROI at Customer Contact Week Las Vegas 2026: 294 sponsors in one portal, 1,799 meeting requests between sponsors and attendees, 54% of those requests made by sponsors, and 141 sponsors (48%) completing an ICP form for matchmaking.

Nitrogen Wealth used the Sponsor Portal and Lead Retrieval at its Fearless Investing Summit 2026, which Bizzabo says drew more than 1,000 attendees. Sponsors used 35 of the 39 portals created, which Bizzabo gives as an 88% adoption rate, and scanned 582 leads through the Bizzabo mobile app. The release quotes Michael DeJager, Managing Director, Events at CMP, and Callie Devaney, Events Director at Nitrogen Wealth, on the matchmaking and the portal.

Beta event (Bizzabo’s figures) Sponsors or portals Engagement reported

Availability and what to check before buying

Sponsor ROI is available now to new and existing Bizzabo customers, with an interactive product tour and demo requests on the Sponsor ROI page. Bizzabo says it will run a live webinar with beta customers and a product walkthrough on 19 November 2026. The announcement does not give a price or say whether Sponsor ROI is included in existing plans or sold as an add-on, so ask your account manager.

Questions worth asking before you commit sponsors to it:

  • Which CRMs the sponsor-side sync supports, and whether each sponsor connects their own CRM account or receives an export.
  • Whether lead retrieval licences are charged per sponsor or per device, and how many come with each sponsorship tier.
  • What attendee data the ICP matchmaking uses and how attendees consent to being matched with sponsors.
  • Whether sponsor reports can be shared with sponsors directly during the event or only after it closes.

Other lead capture and matchmaking tools in our directory include Cvent iCapture, Validar, Captello, fielddrive and Map Your Show for lead retrieval, and Swapcard, Brella and Grip for sponsor and attendee matchmaking.
