A desk assessment of ExpoFP’s published floor-plan and booth-sales offering, focused on what an organiser should verify before adoption.
What the product is for
ExpoFP presents itself as interactive floor-plan software for trade shows and expos, with exhibitor search, wayfinding and booth sales or reservations. That makes it relevant to organisers who need the attendee-facing map and the commercial space plan to remain aligned as booths change hands.
This assessment is based on the vendor’s public product information, checked for this article. We have not used a paid account, tested a live event or measured performance. Product statements below describe the published offering; the buying questions are our analysis.
The useful connection is between sales and the map
When an exhibition team uses one drawing for space sales and another for the public directory, changes can become inconsistent. A buyer may be offered an unavailable booth, or an attendee may arrive at a location that no longer matches the published plan. ExpoFP’s combination of planning and booking functions addresses that workflow in principle.
The procurement question is whether it handles your actual process. Ask for a demonstration of a reserved booth becoming sold, an exhibitor moving to another location and two spaces being combined. Follow the change through the staff view, the public map and any connected systems.
Wayfinding needs a real venue test
A feature labelled wayfinding does not prove that every visitor can navigate your particular show. Check a route involving entrances, different halls, accessible paths and temporary closures. See how the map works on a phone without relying on a desktop demonstration.
Ask how venue drawings are imported and updated, who owns the source files and how a correction becomes visible. If a layout must be approved by the venue, the software does not replace that approval process.
What to establish before buying
Confirm how availability, reservations, payment and contract status relate to each other. Find out who can override a reservation and what audit trail remains. Ask what happens when an integration fails rather than assuming the visible map is always current.
Obtain the export format for exhibitor data and the plan, the support arrangements during build-up and the applicable package limits. The vendor’s public page is a useful shortlist starting point, but it does not settle those contractual and operational questions.
Our assessment is therefore conditional: ExpoFP’s documented scope fits a floor-plan and booth-inventory problem. Suitability for a specific event depends on a demonstration using its real layout, sales rules and attendee needs, not on the product category alone.
